Nantucket Island Chamber of Commerce: To Preserve Nantucket, its Traditions, and its Prosperity. Founded in 1934 and incorporated in 1954 the chamber is the primary organization on Nantucket dedicated to promoting the interests of the business community. The Chamber also is concerned with the ongoing viability and vitality of the island's historical, cultural, civic, environmental and recreational features that position Nantucket as a premier destination for visitors and provides a special way of life for its residents Nantucket Regional Transit Authority (The Shuttle) The Nantucket Regional Transit Authority provides island wide seasonal fixed route shuttle service and year round Your Island Ride van service. The NRTA was established to alleviate downtown traffic congestion and to create parking opportunities in the downtown core district. Nantucket Visitor Services: Located at 25 Federal Street in the heart of Nantucket Town, the Visitors Services provides visitors and residents with information about current events, museums, tours, restaurants, lodging, etc. We maintain a daily list of available accommodations as well as cancellations for holiday weekends and special events.
