Annual Chowder Contest held in October is a hit with members and visitors alike. It is one of the featured events for the Fall On Nantucket marketing campaign from the Nantucket Chamber of Commerce and had over 600 people tasting the members' chowders and voting for their favorite. This event is celebrating its tenth year in 2004 with proceeds benefitting the Nantucket Chamber of Commerce, Nantucket High School's Culinary Arts Program and The Nantucket Boys' and Girls Club.

Monthly Meeting with members and local hospitality organizations. The NRA hosts meetings every third Thursday with its members and invites guest speakers from the hospitality industry along with discussion of local issues with The Nantucket Chamber of Commerce and Nantucket Visitor Services.

TIPS training classes and SERV-SAFE Certification courses are coordinated every spring to give employers a chance to update their staff on alcohol awareness and ensure their kitchen and management staff are properly certified with current Health Codes and sanitation practices.
